Samyang AF 24mm F2.8 FE Sony Full Frame Mirrorless Lens Reviews

Samyang Optics, a lens manufacturer in Korea, has released a variety of lenses at a good price ratio and has gained a positive response in the popular market. In particular, Sony's full-frame lenses are smaller and more expensive, so more of these third-party products are in the spotlight.

The lightweight and portable lens that can be said to be an advantage of the mirrorless lens is very small even by Sony itself. The newly released Samyang Lens has a focal length of 24mm and an aperture of F2.8. It is also awarded with domestic design awards including iF and Reddot Design Awards.

Samyang AF 24mm F2.8 is equipped with 3 aspherical lenses and 2 HR lenses in seven 7 groups. The filter aperture is 49mm, providing 82.1 degrees in full-frame mirrorless and 60 degrees in ASP-C sensor.

It is the appearance of the whole component. It consists of a case with lens housed, a manual and a quality certificate.

A lens case that can be safely protected against external shocks is provided as standard.

The lens mount is made of metal, and the front cap is snap-on type for easy opening and closing. The hood is a short, simple lens with a wide angle lens.

The weight of the lens itself is very light as 90g, and it has the best harmony to the mirrorless camera. Compared to the Sony 24-105G lens, you can feel the compactness of the camera as well as its weight.

It is attached to Sony A7R3. Overall size and weight are very small and lightweight, and the red ring around the rim matches the ring color of the body.

I shoot a cat indoors. F2.8 Maximum opening is wide angle lens with aperture value, but you can feel satisfactory background blurring (out focusing) on full frame sensor, and you like price and quality both in image quality and color.

The proportion of landscapes will be high because it is a 24mm lens. It has natural distortion, vivid color and resolution, so I was able to get very satisfactory results in outdoor shooting.

F2.8 If you shoot scenery at maximum opening, you will see a slight decrease in light intensity (vignetting) at the periphery as shown on the left of the above picture. This phenomenon disappears when the aperture is slightly tightened as shown on the right, and I personally do not care much about the vignetting preference. In fact, if you shoot the landscape in the daytime, you will almost never feel vignetting because most of the aperture values are about F8.

In terms of image quality and color, you can see good results that are not inferior to Sony lenses.

With the aperture value of F2.8 and the short focal length of 24cm, you can enjoy satisfactory macro and background blur. Bokeh is unique in that it feels like a watercolor.

It has 24mm wide angle, 24cm focal length, and F2.8 brightness. It is satisfactory for indoor photography. It is good for carrying lots of pictures with lightly mounted and carrying such as self-portrait with self lover and food. In particular, it can be purchased cheaply at an affordable price of 300,000 won, and it can be purchased without hesitation. It is the perfect combination with the Sony full frame mirrorless camera. I feel high satisfaction in the part that can maximize portability. End the reviews.
