Wireless Flash Godox TT685S & Xpro Reviews for Sony A7R3 A7M3

I changed the main camera with Sony Full Frame Mirrorless A7R3 and thought about flash system for product shooting and various environments. Sony's products include the HVL-F58AM, which is comparable in price to performance, and many people are using compatible products.

The product we have looked at and decided on is a combination of the high-end TT685 model and the Xpro wireless tuner. It is a configuration that can connect flash easily by wireless without installing it directly on flash shoe using wireless tuner. This configuration can be purchased in the low price of about $200 based on the lowest price.

The TT685 model is available for a variety of camera manufacturers. Behind the model name is the product with S attached to Sony. If you look at the specifications, it has features that support 1 / 8000s high speed synchronization (HSS), TTL and 20 ~ 200mm zoom to the rich light quantity of guide number (GN) It can also be configured wirelessly with a tuner via a 2.4GHz wireless system.

It is an Xpro tuner purchased for wireless tuning. The X1 series is a little more affordable, but with a variety of channel configurations and LED backlighting, it is even more convenient to use.

Let's start with the configuration of the Godox TT685 model. It consists of a main body, a portable pouch, and a manual.

2.4GHz wireless receiver is built in, so it can be used with wireless syncronizer. It is supported Light syncronize, so it can be used without built-in wireless transmitter when used with camera with built-in flash.

The battery is AA type and uses four batteries. It takes about 0.1 ~ 2.6 seconds to recharge in eneloop, and it depends on the amount of light and frequency. Provides a power saving function that turns off the power after 1 minute and 30 seconds when there is no operation or use.

I can easily set and check functions using the large LED on the back and various buttons and dials. Manual, Aperture Priority, Multi and TTL function are supported, so it is possible to optimize interlocking with aperture and shutter speed value.

It is the state that I attached it to the Sony A7R3 camera. Supports up and down and left and right rotation, so you can shoot with diopter and bounce from various angles.

On the front, there is a jack to connect an external power pack.

It is the appearance of the flash cradle. If you use a wireless syncronizer, you can use it conveniently in various places with wireless stand.

It is the appearance of Godox Xpro wireless syncronizer. Equipped with a large backlit LCD display, it is easy to set up and check.

It also supports various modes including TTL function, and various channel configurations are available. The battery uses two AA type, upgraded to a USB Type-C port and supports wireless triggering with a 2.5mm sync cord jack.

It is attached to the flash shoe of the camera. It is lightweight with a weight of only 80g and can be used freely.

Using this wireless tuner and flash, I conveniently using it in various environments such as taking pictures. Most of the photos uploaded to my blog recently were taken with this configuration, so I will not attach a separate sample photo.

I am satisfied with excellent light quantity and convenient use environment. Because it is not a product of the same brand, the auto white balance has a somewhat distorted feeling, so I got the most natural color when set to custom white balance or color temperature of about 5300K. It is a very good combination for those who want to configure the wireless flash system at a low price. End the reviews.
