NVMe M.2 SSD JONSBO 2280 heat sink reviews

Unlike SATA, NVMe M.2 SSDs suffer from performance degradation due to high heat. Most recently released motherboards have built-in heat sinks, but if you have multiple SSDs or do not have a built-in heatsink, you should purchase the product separately.

JONSBO M.2 2280 heat sinks are sold at a low price that can be purchased for 10,000 won, and have an elegant design in aluminum magnesium alloy material. It can be used for 2280 size SSD with 80mm length.

It consists of a main body and two thermal pads, which can be mounted on both sides.

A Phillips screwdriver is required for mounting the product. Open the screw on the side and lift the top to remove it.

Currently, Samsung SM961 is used as the OS drive in the main PC. It is attached to the heat sink provided in the main board itself. Attach the heat sink to the Intel 760P 256GB NVMe SSD which is installed as the auxiliary. Attach the thermal pad to both sides.

Fit the heat sink to the side groove and secure it with screws. Both the top and bottom of the SSD are equipped with thermal pads and are expected to have good heat dissipation.

It is the state which I attached to the main board. If you are located at the bottom of a PCI slot, you may not be able to use your graphics card or device above it, so be sure to check the SSD location on your motherboard.

In the default state without a heat sink, check the temperature of the Intel 760P model in the continuous write state. Up to 68 degrees, you can see that the heat is quite high. However, it does not cause any performance deterioration. However, it is recommended to use a heat sink in many ways because there are some products that suffer from heat generation like Samsung SM961 which is main used.

JONSBO M.2 2280 I installed the heat sink and tried the same test. The maximum temperature is about 30 degrees lower than when it is not installed at 39 degrees. I think it is a satisfactory heat dissipation solution at an affordable price of 10,000 won. The design is neat as well, and it is a product that gives a contribution to the PC tuning element. End the Reviews.
